Mr Richard Osei Owusu Afriyie is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years’ working experience in Finance and Administration. Mr Owusu Afriyie joined the company from IndigoHomes, a real estate subsidiary of an American company Black Ivy LLC, where he was the head of finance.  His career began in 2001 at Africa Online, an internet service provider, as an accounts officer. Here, he rose to the position of deputy chief accountant and later the finance manager of the company till 2010 when he left for Alcatel Lucent Ghana Ltd. (now Nokia Solutions and Network Branch Operations Oy Ghana) as the head of finance.

This position made him a member of the key management of the company and was subsequently handed an additional responsibility as the country manager of the company to ensure the smooth running of its local operations.

At Alcatel, he was made the lead finance consultant on a €34 million project with Alcatel Lucent Denmark Ghana (DANIDA/NITA) to construct data centers and lay fiber optic cables to link the southern part of Ghana to the northern part through the eastern corridor with funding from DANIDA.

From Alcatel, Mr Owusu Afriyie joined CFAO Equipment Ghana Limited as the financial controller, where he was also part of the key management team before leaving for IndigoHomes.
Mr Owusu Afriyie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK.
