Dr Rita Larsen-Reindorf

Dr Rita Larsen-Reindorf is a Consultant Surgeon at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and a part-time lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences, University of Cape Coast and the ENT Nursing School at KATH in Kumasi. She obtained her Medical degree from the School of Medical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2001 and furthered her training to obtain a Fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) from the West African College of Surgeons in 2010.

She was also elected as Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2014. She was awarded a Diploma in Project Design and Management from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2005. She holds a Masters in Public Health from KNUST.

She is interested in research and has authored a number of scientific publications. She was a founder member of the Head and Neck Tumour Board at KATH and served as its chairman from 2011 to 2016. She is a past executive member of the Ghana Medical Association Council and continues to serve on a number of committees of the association.

She is a people-person, always looking for an opportunity to make an impact through improving people and systems. Dr Larsen-Reindorf is passionate about youth development.

When not practising medicine, she is usually engaged in working with the youth: offering career guidance, assisting them to understand the processes in their psychosocial development and developing their literary skills. She loves watching movies, reading, cooking and travelling.
